My Mum’s co-op share number 49694; ‘don’t forget to say the share number when you get the bread’. Even now, it’s one number I always recall.
When I remember the things we used to eat without ever questioning it…..tongue, for heaven’s sake. Never occurred to me as a child, that it used to be in a cow’s mouth!!!!Thought it was just ‘meat’
